About The DSAI
The Direct Selling Association of Ireland is the trade association for Ireland’s direct selling industry.
Direct selling takes place when an independent sales person sells goods and services directly to consumers in their homes, work places and other meeting places instead of in a fixed retail store. It can be a very rewarding experience for both the buyer and the seller. In Ireland today there are many organisations offering excellent products and services along with a fun, flexible way to earn extra money. It is a vibrant, growing industry and currently accounts for in excess of €50 million each year.
Our Consumer Code of Practice is designed to champion fair selling methods and offer legal rights to consumers that exceed those required by law.
What do we do?
Our goal is to promote and serve our Member Companies and the independent Direct Sellers that they employ.
Direct Selling is the marketing of consumer goods or services on a person-to-person basis - either where a product is demonstrated in the home or a catalogue is left with the customer. Working for a Direct Selling company is an ideal way to start a business of your own as it offers tremendous working flexibility.
Our Members, which currently include Ireland's leading direct selling organisations, are committed to the highest professional standards and must adhere to strict Business and Consumer Codes. We are the voice of the industry and we work with our Members to build awareness, understanding and credibility amongst consumers, consumer groups, government and the media. Accordingly our Members contribute to and benefit from our work, enhancing their own businesses and the industry as a whole.
Leading the way...
‘The Association’s mission is to protect, serve and promote the effectiveness of Member Companies and the independent direct sellers marketing their products and ensure the highest level of business ethics and service to consumers.’
The DSAI is committed to guiding the Direct Selling industry forward and continuing to further strengthen its image and reputation by promoting a better understanding of Direct Selling in an open and honest manner.
